Branson is pulling out all the stops to attract summer crowds

Branson businesses and attractions are offering big savings for Branson visitors this summer with a variety of promotions and events. A tourist destination that draws over seven million people annually, “The Live Entertainment Capital Of The World,” is offering some enticing discounts to travelers planning a vacation in Branson. From discounted shows, tributes to veterans and national acts like David Copperfield, there is something for the whole family to enjoy, Branson Tourism Center is even offering a 20 cents per gallon gas discount for their customers who are visiting Branson.

Branson has always been in strong support of the nation’s veterans and as part of their continuing effort to commemorate veterans and their families they are hosting the first-ever national event to pay tribute to the Veterans of Vietnam. Operation Homecoming USA will be held from June 13-19, 2005, and is expected to draw tens of thousands of veterans. The event will have live entertainment: The Beach Boys, 5th Dimension, Doobie Brothers, Tony Orlando, Creedence Clearwater Revisited, and many more notable performers in addition to commemorative displays and award ceremonies.

In addition to the discounts, savings and events that Branson has been promoting, they are also bringing in national headlining acts like illusionist David Copperfield. He is scheduled to perform from June 13-26, 2005, with two shows per day at the Moon River Theater. Performing over 550 sold-out shows each year throughout the world, Branson is honored to have David Copperfield perform for a two-week engagement this summer. Such high demand for David Copperfield has already allowed his organization to add a 2:00 pm matinee on Saturday the 18th, order tickets early in order to ensure best seating.
