{"id":248,"date":"2008-02-10T12:30:29","date_gmt":"2008-02-10T19:30:29","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/localdev.bransontourist.com\/branson-information\/andy-williams-presenter-on-sundays-grammys\/"},"modified":"2008-02-10T12:30:29","modified_gmt":"2008-02-10T19:30:29","slug":"andy-williams-presenter-on-sundays-grammys","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/bransontourist.com\/andy-williams-presenter-on-sundays-grammys\/","title":{"rendered":"Andy Williams Presenter On Sunday&#8217;s Grammys"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Andy Williams, who will open his 2008 Branson season at his Moon River Theatre on April 4, will be a presenter on Sunday&#8221;s 50th annual Grammy Awards to air on CBS.<\/p>\n<p>Williams, who hosted the first seven Grammy Awards, will be joined onstage at the Staples Center in Los Angeles by singer\/songwriter Nelly Furtado to present the prestigious Song of the Year award, said William\u2019s spokesman Paul Shefrin.<\/p>\n<p>Williams has had five Grammy nominations during his career. He\u2019ll open his Branson season performing with the cast of &#8220;The Entertainers,\u201d a show produced last season in his theater. Beginning June 6, Williams will share the stage with legendary performer Ann-Margret, who also has become a Branson favorite.<\/p>\n<p>This year, four of the five Grammy nominated songs were also sung by the songwriters including Plain White T\u2019s Tom Higgenson for \u201cHey There Delilah,\u201d Corinne Bailey Rae for \u201cLike A Star,\u201d Amy Winehouse for \u201cRehab\u201d and Shawn Carter, better known as Jay-Z, for being a co-writer of \u201cUmbrella,\u201d performed by Rihanna featuring Jay-Z.
